Website Facts...

The domain name www.stonebryson.com was secured October 18, 2003; the website went live on October 31, 2003, under the name The Stone Bryson Experience.  Stone secured the domain name www.altexperience.com on December 5, 2005, and the name of the site changed to Alt-Experience December 22, 2005.

Up until the one-year anniversary, the site was designed using  Microsoftฎ Word (yes, you read that right), and was always a simple, two-color scheme.  After a succession of multi-colored designs spread out over a year and two months, on December 22, 2005 Stone posted the first monochrome design; after a couple of changes the following year the site went monochrome permanently December 17, 2006.

Alt-Experience was dedicated exclusively to poetry in September, 2006;  before then it had a variety of features, including news items, opinion articles, a football feature, and photographic collections.  Stone covered the 2004 presidential election (calling it for George W. Bush hours before the networks did), the 2005 parliamentary elections (with assistance from Terry Scott) of Great Britain, and the 7/7 terrorists attacks... all in real-time.

In 2007 Stone began using models to enhance the look at the home page; to discover more about each of these talents ladies, click on the picture of each lady, found in the right-hand column of this page.

This site was given international exposure on three occasions, when Stone Bryson poems where featured on the website for the radio program Coast To Coast AM.  The poems that have been featured are Night Riders, New World Order, and Sacred Moon's Light.

A new era of website promotion began on October 22, 2006 when Stone opened his first MySpace page.

A guest-poet feature was opened in 2007, and has showcased some amazing poetry; this included Lillith D. coming on in January of 2008 as a limited creative partner.  While the site went back to featuring Stone's works exclusively on May 25 of that same year, the best of those guest works remain, and are featured below.

On February 18, 2008, Alt-Experience surpassed the 100,000 original-hit mark; the current tally (as of April 30, 2008) is...

111,830 original hits.

From Around The World...

Alt-Experience is a global phenomenon, with known visitors from 54 total nations (as of May 25, 2008).  Here is a list of those nations, in alphabetical order...

Argentina, Australia, Barbados, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Columbia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Ghana, Germany, Greece, India, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia and Montenegro, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela, and Vietnam.

One of the more interesting of these is China; Alt-Experience still receives visits from that repressive nation, even through the site is blocked by the PRC, citing it as 'objectionable' material.
