G.V.C.C. Theme

By Stone Bryson

I was in deep, lost in the mystique,

they naturally assumed I’d stick around for a while.

A summer of fun, no rain just the Son,

till reality taught me to live by the gun.

I did live fast - a life no one surpassed,

they couldn’t understand my individual ways.

Like my own boss - they assumed I was lost

cause I liked taking chances that had a high cost.

So I was condemned - an example of sin

a rebel by force, as well as by choice.

Wasn’t given a prayer - cause none of them cared,

about a societal rebel who grew out his hair.

I finally broke away, and with each passing day

they wonder why I left and refuse to come back.

You think it’d be clear, to the congressional dear,

that I’d no longer stand for their self-righteous sneers.
