In My Name

[Original Version]

By Stone Bryson

Hello… my name is God…

and I’ve got a bone to pick with you.

I think it’s time we talk about

the crazy shit you do.

Well, not so much what you do

for I’ve learned you have no shame,

but it’s really starting to piss me off

that you’re acting in my name.

You fight your wars on my behalf

though you have no right to me,

destroy creations with my blessing

though I’ve given you no lease.

Oppress my children far and wide

though I’ve given you no claim,

you commit the ugliest acts of evil -

and you do it in my name.

You arrogant little fuckers -

how can you understand

the awesome force I represent

or the greatness of my plan?

I’m so far above your comprehension

- the grasp of your puny brain,

so do not pretend to know my will -

or speak of it in my name.

The centuries have come and gone

and I am almost at the end,

of whatever patience I had left

that your maturity would begin.

So I’m giving you this final warning

‘cause I am finished with your game,

respect each other for who you are

or I’ll destroy you in my name.
